Logistics & What to Expect
-
Teams visit The Leadership Center, LMI’s rural campus in Comayagua, Honduras. Located on 200 acres within a national forest, our campus offers a peaceful and protected setting for students, staff, and visitors.
Our remote location, along with our strong relationships with neighbors and local authorities, helps create a safe environment for those who live, learn, and serve on campus. At the same time, visitors should come prepared for the realities of rural life. The road to campus is rugged, and occasional electricity challenges are part of the experience.
While simple, life at The Leadership Center is beautiful. Teams enjoy quiet mornings with coffee in the hammocks, vibrant sunsets, walks through the forest, and time by the river.
-
Teams stay in the team house, which has bunk beds and shared bathrooms. We have wifi, mosquito nets, and fans to make your stay more comfortable.
We have chickens, cows, pigs, and vegetable gardens that provide fresh farm-to-table meals. Meals are simple and nutritious, including staples such as beans, rice, tortillas, eggs, soup, fruits and vegetables, with occasional chicken, beef, or fish. Everyone also have access to coffee, tea, and purified water.
